We have created appointment searches to report on those appointments that have been cancelled by the patient or marked as DNA’d (did not attend) by the practice. It allows the practice to have a clear idea of how many appointments are wasted or cancelled at short notice.

The folder contains three searches, each with a report below it as follows:

The searches can be found in the Population Reporting module > Ardens Searches folder > Appointments Cancelled and DNA'd.

All patient appointments in the last month

This search is reporting on all patient appointments in a particular period set to a month by default. The report below this search is based on that search showing patient details and columns listing any appointments that have been cancelled or marked as a “did not attend” by the practice.

Patient appointments cancelled

This search is reporting on all patients (including those who have left and died) who have appointments cancelled by the patient or the practice. Parameters have been set on this search so that the practice can choose the preferred time frame.

Report 1 – Appointments Cancelled with details of future appointments

This list report shows the patient details, the date of the cancelled appointment and the date on which the appointment was cancelled. It also shows any appointments that the patient has booked in the future, with details of the session holder, role type (e.g. doctor or nurse), the slot type and reason.

Report 2 – Count of cancelled appointments

This aggregate report shows the number of appointments cancelled in the time frame chosen, ordered by session holder.
