Many practices do not realise that it is possible for a patient to appear correctly registered with a 'blue precis bar' but to not be fully registered. The patients therefore will not be included in the 'Currently registered regular patients' cohort, on which most searches and almost all payment extractions are based on. This means that there may be patients for whom you are not being paid for Enhanced Services and QOF.

Ardens has created a search to identify patients not fully registered.

To access the search, navigate to the Population Reporting module > Ardens Searches > 1.31 Administration - Registration >  Action - Registration related searches > Registration anomalies folder.

To run the search, right click on the search folder and select Run.

To view details of the patients, select the report and click on the View Results button on the EMIS ribbon.

This will display details of the patients registration status history.

When you run the search and 'View results' of the report, you will see patients listed with their registration status history (GP Links Registration Status column).

Please note - the patients displayed in the screenshot above is dummy data.

Review the list of patients and further investigate why the patient is not fully registered using the Registration Workflow module, some patients may need to be deducted if they are no longer registered with you. Please contact PCSE to discuss the status of these patients and to confirm next steps.
