In response to the recent emphasis which is being put on the importance of ethnicity in patient populations and in healthcare, we have created protocols and searches to alert practice staff if no ethnicity has been recorded for the patient.
Ardens Ethnicity Alert
In order for you to easily record ethnicity for patient's who do not have it recorded, we have created a protocol alert. When loading a patient record, the following alert will display in the pink alert box if no ethnicity has been recorded for the patient:
Double click on the alert to launch a template to capture the patient's ethnicity status.
Please note - the template includes options to record refusal.
Once completed ensure you Save Template to save the information back to the patient record.
The alert will no longer display in the pink box.
We have created a suite of searches to help practices identify those patients who do not currently have a correct ethnicity code on their record. Full details of these searches can be found here.
