Ardens has created a Failed Telephone Encounter Protocol to enable staff to easily record within a patient's record that they have tried to telephone the patient.

This protocol has been created for you to manually launch from your F12 key (Please note - each individual will need to add the protocol to their F12 key).

Press F12 on your keyboard to open the Protocol Launcher screen.

Right click on any empty letter or number and select the Add option.

Search for the Failed telephone Encounter protocol:

Please note -if you are unable search for the protocol, check with your Practice Management team if the protocol is active in Template Manager / Resource Publisher.

Double click the protocol to select. The protocol will now be added to your F12 Protocol Launcher.

To use, simply press F12 on your keyboard and double click the protocol. This will open a new consultation for the selected patient, and then present you with a number of outcome options.

Single click on the appropriate option, this will enter the corresponding code within the patient’s consultation, to which you may add additional free text if required.

Save the consultation.  The selected code will be visible on the consultation history and care history screens of the patient record.

If you require any further assistance on the process above, please contact Ardens support on: support-emis@ardens.org.uk
