EMIS web allows the ability to add Protocols to the F12 Protocol Launcher screen. This can be useful to quickly add clinical or administrative data to a patient’s record without necessarily needing to launch a consultation.  You may wish to create a protocol to launch your most frequently used templates.

To do this, select the EMIS ball > Configuration > Resource Publisher (or Template Manager) > select your required folder, and then Add > Protocol.

Select Action Nodes from the bottom left of the screen.

Drag Launch Template to the New Protocol pane on the right:

The Template Picker box will open, search and select the required template:

Select Decision Nodes from the bottom left and drag End Protocol to the New Protocol pane on the right:

Left click and drag to connect all the nodes with an arrow:

Select Save and Close from the ribbon:

Select the folder you wish to save the protocol in.  Name the protocol and click OK.

The new protocol is now available to be added to a user’s F12 protocol launcher screen.
