In 2019, NHS England and the BMA GPC agreed to a catch-up campaign for the MMR vaccine, to include checking and updating childrens records and inviting those children missing one or both doses of the MMR. Guidance around this can be found here. Ardens has provided a suite of searches, based on green book guidance, to support practices with this campaign.
Locating the MMR catch-up Searches
To locate the searches, access the Population Reporting module > Ardens Searches > 1.5 Ardens Immunisations Searches > MMR catch-up (age5+ greenbook) folder:
The Data Quality folder is particularly useful for ex-Vision practices whose vaccinations have come into EMIS as individual vaccines. The first search displays patients who have been recorded as having the 1st MMR dose but using single codes and the second search displays patients recorded as having the 2nd MMR again recorded as single codes. Each of these searches then has a report which you can 'View Results' to see patient details, date and code of each of the vaccinations as well as the patients age at the time of vaccination.
Please check guidance to see if these patients are fully vaccinated.
The searches in the main folder can be used for recall purposes. These searches have been broken down by age and identify patients who are not fully vaccinated according to the green book. Each search has a report displaying patient details and details around any measles, mumps, rubella or MMR vaccinations recorded enabling you to clearly view what is missing.
The Denominators folder contains the searches used to compile this suite of searches.
