Ardens EMIS New Starter Training

Getting Started with QOF in 2022/23

Thursday 7th April, 1pm - 2pm


This webinar will support practices in effectively managing QOF for the financial year. It will include.

  • Completing QOF reviews for patients where indicators are time-limited, using the Ardens Time Sensitive QOF searches to identify the patients requiring action. 
  • Getting ahead with QOF Vaccination and Immunisations, identifying eligible patients to be captured in the 2022/23 QOF population. 
  • How to use the Ardens LTC Recall System to plan ahead and get a head start for patient's requiring long-term condition reviews.

Network DES 2022/23 Webinar

Thursday 28th April, 1pm - 2pm


This webinar will summarise what is required for the Network Contract DES for 2022/23 and demonstrate the Ardens resources we have made available which will help you work as a Network effectively and maximise achievement. It will include:

  • Locating and using the Ardens National Contract Reports to monitor work achieved and identify outstanding work.
  • Overview of the supporting Ardens templates to ensure staff are capturing correct coding for the work complete.

Ardens Cancer Resources Webinar

Tuesday 10th May, 1pm - 2pm


The Ardens Cancer resources supports practice staff in managing cancer patients. These include resources to identify patients who may have a potential cancer diagnosis, and to support their ongoing management once diagnosed. This webinar will offer an overview of the resources and will focus on the following areas:

  • Identifying the Ardens Clinical Safety Alerts, advising clinicians of potential cancer symptoms for the presenting patient.
  • Overview of the Ardens Cancer Symptom Analyser to support clinicians in identifying patients meeting the NICE NG12 Suspected Cancer Guidelines. 
  • How to use the Ardens Fast Track Safety Netting tools to enable tracking of 2WW referrals, urgent diagnostics, and symptom safety netting.
  • Locating and using the Ardens Cancer Template to record a structured cancer care review.
  • Identifying the Ardens Data Quality Alerts to ensure correct cancer diagnosis is added and Cancer Care Reviews are booked in a timely manner, meeting the cancer GP Contract requirements.  
  • Discussion on the care planning resources to support end of life care.
  • Overview of the Ardens Searches to identify outstanding cancer work for national contracts, identifying patients ‘missing’ from the practice cancer registers and understanding the uptake of national cancer screening services among the practice population.

Each session will last 1 hour and we strongly recommend those attending have basic knowledge of EMIS. Please email training-emis@ardens.org.uk if you are interested in attending and to receive a Microsoft Teams link.

 

Ardens EMIS Pharmacist Webinar

Thursday 19th May, 1pm - 2:30pm

 

This session is aimed at new Pharmacists and Pharmacist Technicians. It will include:

  • Locating and using the Ardens Pharmacist Templates, to ensure consistent accurate coding for Structured Medication Reviews and guidance on monitoring high risk drugs.
  • Adding patient recalls for ad-hoc blood tests, procedures, investigations, and follow-ups.
  • Identifying when a patient is due a recall
  • How to locate and run the Ardens Searches to identify outstanding work for Network Contract DES, medication reviews due and potential clinical safety issues.
  • Identify the Ardens Clinical Safety alerts and how to action
  • General EMIS tips e.g., linking medication to problems.


The session will last 1 1/2 hours and we strongly recommend those attending have basic knowledge of EMIS. Please email training-emis@ardens.org.uk if you are interested in attending and to receive a Microsoft Teams link.
