Searches and Reports Webinar for Management and Admin Teams

Thursday 20th January 11am- 12pm


This webinar is aimed at the Management and Admin Teams to support practices to manage the Ardens reporting suite. It will include:

  • Using the Ardens Portal, including how to import and download search updates.
  • The new QOF Priority searches to help practices to maximise QOF achievement for the unprotected indicators for 2021-22.
  • Carer searches to support the management of young carers, long-term carers and newly registered carers.
  • Contact detail searches to identify patients with incorrect coding or missing contact details.
  • Enhanced services searches to report on minor surgery, joint injection and other procedure activity. 
  • Reports to keep track of insurance, medical and solicitor report payments within the practice.
  • CQRS and PPA searches to support practices with claims for the current financial year and identifying payment anomalies. 
  • Equipment loan searches to track patients loaning and returning equipment to the practice (e.g. home BP monitors).
  • NHS Health check searches to identify eligible patient’s due 1st and 2nd invitations.
  • Registration searches to identify anomalies and manage online record access.
  • QOF related searches to support the management of the QOF requirements for vaccination and immunisations.
  • Immunisation searches to manage the recall of patients for immunisations.

This webinar is aimed at clinicians to understand the available Ardens searches and reports to support patient care. It will include:

  • Prescribing Safety searches to ensure practices are compliant with MHRA guidance.
  • Miscellaneous review searches to identify patients that are suitable for a review for areas such as medication reviews and pill checks.
  • COVID19 searches to monitor vaccine uptake and identify patients requiring remote monitoring.
  • Frailty searches to support with the identification and management of frail patients.
  • Risk stratification searches to prioritise care for 'high risk' patients
  • Case finding searches to help identify coding errors affecting reported chronic disease prevalence (and therefore QOF income).
  • Long-term condition searches to monitor diabetes, frailty, end-of-life care, care home residents, respiratory conditions and cardiovascular disease.
  • Network DES searches to support practices with monitoring achievement.
  • Safeguarding searches to identify patients with possible safeguarding concerns and fully audit safeguarding activity.
  • Cancer searches to identify possible cancer patients, monitor screening uptake, and track patients requiring 2WW referrals, urgent diagnostics and symptom monitoring.
  • Learning Disability searches to monitor the performance of Learning Disability patients.

Ardens EMIS Pharmacist Webinar

Tuesday 8th February, 1pm - 2:30pm


This is session is aimed at new Pharmacists and Pharmacist Technicians. It will include:

  • Locating and using the Ardens Pharmacist Templates, to ensure consistent accurate coding for Structured Medication Reviews and guidance on monitoring high risk drugs.
  • Adding patient recalls for ad-hoc blood tests, procedures, investigations, and follow-ups.
  • Identifying when a patient is due a recall
  • How to locate and run the Ardens Searches to identify outstanding work for Network Contract DES, medication reviews due and potential clinical safety issues.
  • Identify the Ardens Clinical Safety alerts and how to action
  • General EMIS tips e.g., linking medication to problems.


The session will last 1 1/2  hours and we strongly recommend those attending have basic knowledge of EMIS. Please email training-emis@ardens.org.uk if you are interested in attending and to receive a Microsoft Teams link.


Ardens EMIS New Starter Training

Wednesday 9th February


These sessions are aimed at practice staff new to Ardens EMIS. Timings are as follows:

  • 10:00 - Practice Management Team
  • 11:30 - Nurses and HCAs
  • 13:00 - GPs and ANPs
  • 14:30 - Reception and Admin 

 

Each session will last 1 hour and we strongly recommend those attending have basic knowledge of EMIS. Please email training-emis@ardens.org.uk if you are interested in attending and to receive a Microsoft Teams link.

 

Ardens LTC Recall Webinar

Thursday 10th February, 1pm - 2pm


The Ardens LTC Recall System supports practices with streamlining the management of patients with long term conditions. It is designed to recall patients by month of birth for all conditions at once, meaning those patients with more than one condition will only receive one invitation and fewer appointments. 

 

The system has been further enhanced to allow practices to separate out those patients with only a single condition, for directed messages to be sent to certain cohorts. Please see further information here

End of Year Contract Mop-up Webinar

Friday 11th February, 11am - 12pm


This webinar will support practices in maximising QOF income for the remainder of the financial year. It will include:

  • Discuss the current QOF achievement and priorities for the remaining months of the financial year. 
  • Case finding searches to help identify coding errors affecting reported chronic disease prevalence (and therefore QOF income).
  • Registration searches to identify anomalies, discussing how the results are managed.
  • Discuss how to rectify coding errors for vaccination, immunisation and cervical screening.
  • Discuss the use of the Ardens templates to ensure practice staff are coding correctly, including Vaccination and Immunisation templates and Chronic Disease Management. 
  • Discuss the Ardens resources practices may wish to consider for longer term QOF management i.e. LTC recall system, time sensitive searches, Ardens Manager.

Ardens Diary Recall Webinar

Thursday 3rd March, 1pm - 2pm


The Ardens Diary Recall System allows practice staff to easily manage ad-hoc recalls for blood tests, injections, procedures and follow-ups. This webinar is aimed at GP practices new to the Ardens Diary recall system and those who require an overview of how it works. It will cover the following:

  • How to enter a recall using the dedicated Ardens Diary Recall Template and from within the standard Ardens templates.
  • How to identify when a patient is due a recall using the Ardens pop-up alerts.
  • How to manage and recall patients using the Ardens Diary Recall Searches.
  • Completing diary recalls and arranging regular recalls (e.g. annual PSA tests).
  • Initial housekeeping of diary entries that should be completed before using the Diary Recall System.
