The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) allows prescribers to send prescriptions electronically to a pharmacy of the patients’ choice. This makes the prescribing and dispensing process more efficient and convenient for both patients and practice staff. 

Ardens has developed searches and reports to assist practices with monitoring patients who have/have not signed up to the Electronic Prescription Service.

To locate the searches, navigate to the Population Reporting module > Ardens Searches >1.30 Administration - Misc > EPS folder.

The Patients on repeat meds search, displays patients with current repeat medication which have been issued in the last 6 months. The report beneath this can be exported within Excel and filtered to display blank columns, this will identify patients without an EPS nomination. You may wish to contact these patients to encourage them to sign up to the EPS service.

The EPS Nominations – All patients report is the same as the above report, however this displays all registered patients not just patients with current repeat medications.
