To download the searches, access the Ardens Portal - www.ardens.live/portal


If you are using the portal for the first time, you will need to create account. Click on the 'Sign up as a EMIS Portal User' to create.



Complete the form and select your GP practice, click on the Submit button once complete.



Once you have signed up, sign in using the Email Address and Password fields.


Click on the Select button next to your organisation.



Click on the 'CQC Searches' link. 



Click on the the download link.



Click on the Download button located at the bottom of the screen.



If the following message appears, click on Keep to continue with the download. 



This will download the file automatically to your 'Downloads' file within Windows Explorer (alternatively save the file to the location of your choice).


Launch EMIS Web and navigate to the Population Reporting module.


Select your Practice name at the top of the folder list and create a new folder called 'CQC' (Add > folder) If you are already an Ardens subscriber, you may wish to import the folder to the Ardens Searches folder.


With the folder selected, click on the Import button on the EMIS Web ribbon.



Within the Enquiry Document Import screen, select the three dots located to the right of the Enquiry Document field.



Locate the saved CQC folder and double click or click on Open.


Once the searches have populated to the left of the screen, click OK



This will import the searches to the selected folder.



To run the searches, right click on the CQC folder and select Run
