To support the requirements of the Weight Management enhanced service, Ardens has produced a number of resources to identify patients for a referral and aid with recording appropriate information. Further information on the resources available can be accessed in the following support article. 

The following support article outlines the searches available for this enhanced service to identify eligible patients for a referral.

To access the searches, navigate to the Population Reporting module > Ardens Searches > 5.30 Contracts - National (Misc) search folder.

All searches are based on the Obesity register and will highlight the patients that meet the NHS criteria.

The Work done folder provides searches to identify patients that have been referred or declined referral in the last month or this fiscal year.

The Work to do folder identifies patients who may be eligible for referral as they meet the criteria and have never been referred, or not been referred this fiscal year.

The Data Quality folder will identify patients who may be eligible for referral, however there is a non-value BMI recorded, or where a weight management referral has been done, but there is either no BMI recorded in the last 2 years, or a non-value BMI code has been recorded.  We advise reviewing the list of patients and updating the BMI code.
