The Ardens Patient Info Analyser is a recent resource that supports GP practices by displaying key summary information about the selected patient in the pink alert box.

It displays key non-clinical information about the patient, which may include care considerations, end of life coding, consent and legal information, social and residential data and other useful information about the patient.

On loading a patient record, practice staff will be alerted if the patient has any of the included elements on their record. This reduces the number of individual alerts that are needed in the pink box, keeping it tidy and clutter-free.

The alert displays as a high priority alert and is active by default.

Hover over the alert to see the patient information for the selected patient:

The Patient Info Analyser displays the following information:

  • Considerations for care:  Disabilities, frailty, mobility, and interpreter requirements
  • End of life:  Resuscitation status, advanced directives and GSF status
  • Safeguarding:  Safeguarding, domestic violence, vulnerable adult, and DoLS status
  • Consent and legal:  Consent status for Summary Care Record and Lasting Power of Attorney information
  • Carers:  Carer details and consent to share data
  • Social:  Ethnicity, language and military veteran status
  • Residential:  Housebound and care home status, door access code, and homelessness status
  • Other:  Online access status, implantable devices, and dispensing status
  • Communication:  Preferences (e.g. SMS / email) and related consent status

Double-click on the alert to launch a template which will allow staff to update most of the fields (except those that are more appropriate for clinical staff to consider in some detail):

Do I need to do anything to activate this?

This alert is deployed 'active' by default to your EMIS system. If you wish to 'deactivate' it, this needs to be done in the Resource Publisher module.

To turn off the alert, within the Resource Publisher module, select the Shared Folder > Ardens Live National Content > Other Protocols > Patient Info Analyser folder.

Right click on the alert and select Status > Deactivate.   Please note - this will deactivate for the whole organisation.

Can I use the Patient Info Analyser to reduce the number of alerts in the pink alert box?

Yes - the Patient Info Analyser displays all relevant items via a single alert. This has allowed us to deactivate some other individual alerts, but these can be reactivated should a GP practice wish to use any of them alongside this new alert.

We have automatically deactivated the following alerts for you as they are duplicated within this resource. They have been moved to the Optional Protocols > QOF Box Protocols folder.

  • Carer Status QOF
  • Latest CPR Status
  • Military Veteran
  • Power of attorney reminder
  • Record ethnicity
  • GSF Register Clinician Alert
  • Safeguarding alert

If you wish to reactivate any of the above, navigate to Resource Publisher module > Shared Folder > Ardens Live National Content > Optional Protocols > QOF Box Protocols folder. Choose any protocol you wish to activate and right click and choose Status > Activate:
