When you launch the protocol, you will see an initial multiple choice question:
Select the appropriate option based on the task at hand. You can return to this screen anytime to complete additional actions as needed.
The Quick Admin option will allow you to swiftly document frequent administration tasks:
For example, if you need to document a discussion of a patient case with another healthcare professional, complete the quick entry template to efficiently record this information in the patient record. The same applies to all Quick Admin tasks.
The Quick Diaries (Patient) option provides quick entry templates for common health diaries. For instance, if a patient is asked to keep a food diary to monitor symptoms and triggers, this template lets you record the assessment, note any necessary actions, and includes ready-to-use text message templates for communicating with the patient.
The Quick Prescribing option incorporates a number of prescribing protocols of common drug combinations. For example, if a patient requires end of life medication, the protocol guides the prescriber through the process, taking into account factors such as a low eGFR or conditions such as Parkinson's disease.
The Quick Results option allows clinicians to efficiently document outcomes of pathology results. For example, if a patient has an abnormal eGFR and requires a repeat test, a recall can be quickly be arranged, along with a suggested message to inform the patient of the need for a referral.
The Quick Scores option assists clinicians in quickly completing common medical scores.
When actioning any of the above options, you will be prompted if you want to launch another GP Quick Assistant resource. Clicking Yes will return you to the main menu.
