Documents are protected to stop changes being made by accident and also allows the ticking of any tick boxes in the document.

 

However, it may sometimes be necessary to edit a document e.g. to add a letter heading. 


Access the Template Manager or Resource Publisher module and the Documents area. Find the document that needs to be edited, right click and select Document Template > Edit.

 

 

 

To remove protection go to the Review tab > Restrict Editing. Select the Stop Protection button. This will allow the document to be edited, please note no password is required.

 

 


 

When the document is saved, the protection will need to be added again, click Yes to the following message:
