TABLE OF CONTENTS
Introduction
Ardens provides various resources to support practices achieving the Network Contract DES requirements for 2025/26. The following support article provides information on resources available.
Templates
Where relevant, the Ardens templates will contain a ‘National Contracts’ page to assist GP practices in accurately recording Network DES activity.
These templates can be accessed via the ‘All Template Launcher’ protocol via the F12 key, or by searching for the condition when using the ‘Run Template’ option in a consultation.

The ‘National Contracts’ page can be used to record all national contract requirements for the current financial year, with additional pages to record a structured review that incorporates NICE best practice data.

Alerts
Ardens constantly monitors clinical data as it is entered into EMIS Web, alerting users to potential missing contract requirements.

Searches and Reports
Ardens searches assist practices in several ways, from identifying incorrect coding and missing data for contract requirements to monitoring achievement and outstanding work. Key searches to support Network Contract DES include:
- Registration Anomalies – identifies patients not fully registered, who are not included in almost all payment searches that extractions are based on
- Contracts - IIF 2025-26 Searches – searches to identify work done, work outstanding and issues with data quality for IIF for the current financial year
- Prescribing Other Searches - contains searches identifying patients requiring a Structured Medication Review, which is still part of Network DES's service requirements
