The following support article will give an overview of the available Ardens resources to support practices with CQRS claims for Enhanced Services.

Patients Incorrectly Registered

Many practices do not realise that it is possible for a patient to appear correctly registered with a 'blue precis bar' but to not be fully registered. These patients therefore will not be included in the 'Currently registered regular patients' cohort, on which most searches and almost all payment extractions (including QOF and Enhanced Services) are based on.

Ardens has created a search to identify patients not fully registered. To access the search, navigate to the Population Reporting module > Ardens Searches > 1.31 Administraton - Registration > Registration related searches > Registration Anomalies folder.

Reviewing this list of patients and investigating further will mean the patients will be picked up correctly in payment searches such as CQRS if applicable. For more detailed information on the Registration Anomalies search please see our dedicated support article.

CQRS Searches to Support Claims for Enhanced Services

Ardens has created a suite of CQRS searches to support practices with claims. For more detailed information on the CQRS searches please see our dedicated support article.

Data quality searches have been designed for practices to be able to action potential coding errors which will affect payment. We recommend running and actioning these searches before running the other searches within the CQRS Searches folder and ahead of automatic extraction (which usually happens usually around 9th of the month).

The majority of CQRS claims are extracted automatically via GPES and Ardens has developed a suite of searches to support practices with verifying these claims. The searches have been written to look at activity ‘last month’ when run. Therefore, run the searches on 1st November to see figures for October.

The Auto searches can be run ahead of the extraction date for that month to check that the numbers returned are in line with what is expected, giving time to investigate and correct coding if necessary.

The Manual searches will support practices by providing the numbers needed to enter manually into CQRS for the indicators which require manual input.

Patients who may have had activity recorded in the relevant month, but who have since left the practice or have deceased, will not appear in the main auto or manual searches. Therefore the left or deceased searches will display these patients for practices who may wish to claim manually for them.  Please note, although we have broken these folders into the same Auto and Manual folders, all will need to be claimed manually via your CCG’s process for manual adjustments.

Templates to Assist with the Enhanced Service (CQRS) Requirements

To help practices capture accurate data around CQRS requirements and to streamline/speed up consultations, Ardens has designed a suite of standardised clinical templates to support this.

The Childhood Immunisation template will ensure the correct requirements are captured for accurate payment for relevant enhanced services via the CQRS extraction.  For more detailed information on the Childhood Immunisation template please see our dedicated support article.

The  Adult Immunisations template will ensure the correct requirements are captured for accurate payment for the CQRS extraction for the Influenza, Shingles, Pneumococcal, Pertussis and MMR enhanced services.

Additionally, Ardens have designed a Flu Vaccine Administration protocol to aid with recording details when giving the flu vaccination, including correct coding, batch numbers and expiry dates.  For more detailed information on the Flu Vaccine Administration protocol please see our dedicated support article.

The Learning Disability template will ensure the health check requirements are captured for accurate payment for CQRS. For more detailed information on the Learning Disability template please see our dedicated support article.

The Weight Management and Obesity template will ensure the correct requirements are captured for the Weight Management Enhanced Service. Note that this is a manual entry element on CQRS. For more detailed information on the Weight Management and Obesity template please see our dedicated support article.
