Ardens has developed a suite of comprehensive EMIS Web searches and reports to assist practices with the management of contract requirements and good clinical practice.

The Ardens search suite comprises of the following folders (click on the links to see further support articles):
The Ardens LTC Recall System is a month of birth recall system designed to allow practices to streamline chronic disease management using fewer appointments by completing the review for multiple conditions at the same time. The following searches will help practices to identify which patients to call in for their annual reviews and to appropriately code the patient has been invited.
1.11 LTC Reviews - Year of Care
The Year of Care searches consists of searches and reports to support those practices incorporating the Year of Care process. They identify patients who have completed or are outstanding the various stages for the reviews.
The Risk Stratification searches have been designed to help practices focus on chronic disease reviews on higher risk patients and to pro-actively prioritise patients. It also includes searches to identify patients living in deprived areas.
1.20 Ad Hoc Reviews - Diary Recall
The Ardens Diary Recall System allows practice staff to easily manage diary recalls for blood tests, injections, procedures, and long-term condition interim reviews. These searches will support practices with future planning, by identifying patients due a recall a month ahead and allowing safety netting, by ensuring patients are not being missed off the system.
1.30 Ardens Administration - Misc
This folder contains miscellaneous management searches to support practices with equipment loan tracking, insurance report monitoring and the ability to create virtual waiting lists.
1.31 Ardens Administration - Registration
The Registration folder contains a number of searches to support practices with identifying registration related issues and management of areas such as Online Access.
1.32 Ardens Administration - Appointments
The Appointment searches folder will support practices with identifying frequent attender and to monitor number of cancellations/DNAs in a preferred timeframe.
1.34 Ardens Administration - Carers
The Carer searches assist practices with the management of carers and to be able monitor carer activity (e.g. health checks done).
1.36 Ardens Administration - PPA
The PPA searches help practices to avoid missing out on claims for personally administered drugs.
The Prescribing Safety Searches folder will alert practices of potential clinical safety issues for their patients (in addition to the Ardens Clinical Safety Protocols), following the latest NICE and MHRA guidance. It includes medication searches to support pharmacists and clinicians in identifying possible medicine changes and reviews.
The CAS alerts supports practices with identifying patients at risk based on the Central Alerting System.
The Prescribing Monitoring searches assists practices with drug monitoring to ensure correct tests are completed. It includes medications such as ACE inhibitors, levothyroxine, anticoagulants, DMARDs and more.
The Prescribing Alerts searches supports practices with identifying patients who are prescribed medication that may need a review due to safety concerns.
The Prescribing Review searches assists clinicians with identifying patients that require certain prescribing reviews such as medication reviews, pill checks etc.
The COVID Vaccination searches supports practices with the COVID Vaccination programme. It includes searches to identify eligible patients to invite in for their vaccine, data quality searches to identify coding errors and searches to monitor achievement.
Ardens offers a comprehensive flu tools to support practices with the flu season each year. The flu search suite identifies the number of flu vaccines to order each year, recall searches to manage the flow of patients attending the practice for a vaccine and data quality searches to identify coding anomalies.
The Vaccination - Other searches folder contains searches to identify patient uptake and recall for childhood immunisation and identifies those patients eligible for shingles and pneumococcal vaccines .
3.22 Vaccinations - MMR catch-up
The MMR catch-up searches supports practices with call and recall for the 2023-24 MMR catch up programme.
The Shingles searches identifies eligible patients for the vaccine and includes searches to consider patients before inviting, recall searches and data quality.
4.10 Conditions Cardiovascular
The Ardens condition searches have been designed to support GP practices with the management of specific diseases, including identifying certain trends and highlighting clinical areas that may need attending. This particular folder focuses on cardiovascular conditions such as Atrial Fibrillation, CHD, CVA, Heart Failure and PAD.
4.11 Conditions Frailty, CH + EoL
The Ardens condition searches have been designed to support GP practices with the management of specific diseases, including identifying certain trends and highlighting clinical areas that may need attending. This particular folder focuses on activity and management searches for Frailty, Care Home and EOL patients.

The Cancer searches supports practices in identifying possible cancer patients, monitoring screening uptake, and track patients requiring 2WW referrals, urgent diagnostics and symptom monitoring.
4.15 Conditions - Learning Disability
The Learning Disability searches assist practices with the management of learning disability patients.
To support practices with the management of COVID19, Ardens has provided the Ardens COVID19 Searches suite. The search suite includes searches to support the COVID vaccination programme, allowing practices to identify achievement and patients to call in. Along with searches to manage Long COVID patients and those requiring remote monitoring (COVID Oximetry @Home).
4.17 Conditions - Genetic Disorders
The Genetic Disorders searches includes detail registers for patients with Downs Syndrome.
The CKD searches assist practices with performance monitoring for this condition. It includes searches to identify patients who may not be correctly coded, and searches to keep track of where certain elements of care has not been completed.
The Case Finder Searches includes a comprehensive suite of Case Finding searches to support practices to improve data quality and ensure QOF payments are correctly calculated.
5.21 Contracts - Time Sensitive
The Time Sensitive Searches supports practices with time limited QOF indicators.
The QOF Misc folder offers practices additional QOF searches to identify missing coding requirements and to help manage certain QOF indicators.
5.23 Contracts - QOF - Vaccs and Imms
The QOF Vaccination & Immunisation searches will identify patients due to turn the age range of the vaccination and immunisation schedule for the QOF year. Practices may wish to use this search suite to chase patients not vaccinated or check the coding is correct if they believe the patient has been vaccinated.
5.30 Contracts - National (Misc)
This search folder contains searches to support practices monitoring activity for the Weight Management Enhanced Service.
5.32 Contracts - Network DES (22-23)
The Network Contract DES folder supports practices with identifying work achieved and work outstanding for the latest national, including the requirements for IIF and early cancer diagnosis.
5.35 Contracts - SMI Health Check
The SMI Health Check searches helps practices to monitor performance and identify outstanding work for this enhanced service.
5.36 Contracts - NHS Health Checks
The NHS Health Check searches supports practices in identifying eligible patients to be invited for their health checks and to monitor work done.
The CQRS Searches supports practices with CQRS claims, including searches to identify coding errors which will affect payment.
5.50 Contracts - Local (generic)
This search folder contains searches to support practices with generic payment claims for minor surgery, joint injections, coils and more.
6.10 Safeguarding - Adult + Child
The Ardens Safeguarding Searches provides practices with a comprehensive suite of searches to help manage patients with an existing safeguarding code and identify patients with a potential safeguarding concerns. The safeguarding searches can be uploaded to Ardens Manger to monitor activity at practice, PCN and CCG level dependent on sharing agreements.
The Team + usage searches allows practices to monitor the usage of the Ardens templates within their organisation, in addition to searches focusing on particular role activity.
